How do you keep a velociraptor in it's under-the-stairs bedroom? You build a hinge-less gate from solid white oak with metal bars, that's how. Problem identified, problem solved with a fix that looks more like furniture than a dog-gate.
Three swords to hang up and out of the way? No problem. African mahogany with brass thumb-screws that allows the face to open - because they're too close to the ceiling to draw upward.
You want a classy, antique-looking box for cards at a wedding? You want it to be completely free of lace and frills? I can do that.
This was, in truth, a really challenging build. Quartersawn white oak and a pieced roll-top. Turned out well.
