I love creating and problem solving, hand-in-hand. I've been a Federal leader, a fishing boat Captain and an officer in the United States Navy, but at the end of the day, I love the creativity of shaping wood.

My father taught me to learn, try and keep trying. My grandfather was a master wood patternmaker and taught me much about being patient with wood. My own old houses may have taught me the most, though. Without a right angle or a plumb wall to be found, creative solutions to unique problems came daily.
